Nestling among rolling hills at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, the Old Stone Trough has given respite to travellers for hundreds of years. Perfectly situated to enjoy both Lancashire and Yorkshire's rich industrial heritage, beauty spots, historic towns and villages and of course the fabulous surrounding countryside.

The accommodation extends to 36 bedrooms all tastefully furnished to a high standard, many providing breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside. All rooms have private en-suite bathroom, remote control colour television with satellite, coffee and tea making facilities and direct dial telephone. The hotel also has a function room available that can cater for up to 50 guests. The hotel also holds Bridge Weekends.

Fantastic
  We enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly. Despite the fact that I booked both these rooms well in advance and together and we were obviously family (having the same surname) we were put on different floors well away from each other. I booked two twin rooms and the next day all of my party complained that their beds were really hard and I agree that my bed was very hard making it difficult for me to have a comfortable night`s sleep. We were going to a wedding so were grateful that we were given plenty of time after breakfast to get ready and weren`t asked to leave our rooms too early. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly.
