Once the home of Oliver Cromwell's grandfather, this former coaching inn has been extending hospitality for centuries. The restaurant specialises in traditional English fare including succulent roasts. Bar meals are available in the lounge and bar together with a range of traditional ales and a good wine list. 24 en-suite bedrooms are fully equipped with radio, colour TV, telephone, trouser press and hairdryer.

The hotel can accommodate conferences for up to 160 people and the Manchester Ballroom is ideal for weddings, banquets and dinner dances.
