Ravensworth Arms Hotel

This historical building stands on the site of Clubdon Hall and takes it’s name from the nearby Ravensworth Castle. It is said that part of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ was written here and that the mother of famous writer Catherine Cookson worked here. It is even believed Catherine herself was conceived here!

The Ravensworth Arms is situated just 3 minutes drive from the A1. It is set in a beautiful rural conservation area with panoramic views of the countryside and the world-famous Angel of the North sculpture.

Newcastle City Centre and the Metro Centre are a short car journey from the hotel, and Newcastle airport and the Stadium of Light are only a 20 minute drive. Some of the region’s finest golf courses, such as Slaley Hall, Close House, Beamish and Matfern, are also all easily accessible from the hotel.

In keeping with the traditional atmosphere of this period building, the Ravensworth Arms has 19 luxurious en-suite bedrooms.
