Whether you're planning to explore historic Norwich or soak up the scenery of the Norfolk Broads , you'd be hard pushed to find a hotel as perfectly placed as this.
Nestled in a lovely spot on the banks of the River Yare, opposite Whittingham Country Park , the lodge houses 14 warm and welcoming rooms as well as a Crown Carvery. So you can enjoy the tranquility of the area with your choice of roast, freshly steamed vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puds.
Norwich has some of the best medieval architecture in Britain with a Norman motte and bailey castle and a fine cathedral dating back to 1096. It's also home to the Norfolk Broads, the largest protected wetlands in the country. They're a mecca for sailors, motor-boaters, canoeists and fishing enthusiasts - although walkers, bird watchers and cyclists will find plenty to do without having to get wet. Norwich Aviation Museum is just up the road, too.
A cooked buffet breakfast is available at the additional price of £3.29 per person (£1.99 for children).

We concentrate on doing the simple things well. This means serving good, freshly cooked food and a wide range of drinks in the comfy, relaxed surroundings of our pub restaurant.
We always offer our guests a warm, friendly welcome and make sure choice and value are always on the menu.
Pub & Carvery is dedicated to bringing back a taste of tradition – both in the food and drinks on offer and the generous welcoming hospitality that’s served with them.
We offer the ever popular carvery, with a choice of three roast meats and an unlimited choice of vegetables, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds and all the traditional trimmings. You can then help yourself to as much as you like from the rest of the carving deck. You can even go back for more veg if you’ve room! Our Carvery is ONLY £3.50 ALL DAY EVERY DAY (£6.50 on Sunday's)!
There’s a tempting range of starters and puddings too - from traditional dishes like the prawn cocktail or hearty treacle sponge with custard, to more modern favourites like chicken tikka and chocolate fudge sensation.
There’s a wide range of beers and lagers and plenty of wines to choose from – almost all of which are available by the glass as well as the bottle. Naturally, there’s a good choice of soft drinks also, including refreshing fruit juices.
There's also a snack menu for when you're feeling peckish and the Town House has a magnificent garden overlooking the river Yare where you can make the most of the lighter nights
