The Washbourne Court Hotel is located on an area formerly known, as Washbournes Place that took its name from the family who owned it in 1470. The building was originally divided in to three farm workers cottages. In the early 1920's the cottages were converted into a private house before it became a boy's cramming school for 'Eton'. The boy's assembly and dining room were located in our far lounge. The Rose room was the Headmaster's office and the rooms Daisy, Poppy, Iris and Lily were the boy's dormitories.

If you are in search of peace, tranquillity and the epitome of English country life you need look no further than Washbourne Court Hotel. Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in all seasons. A truly magnificent 17th century hotel standing in four acres of grounds alongside the River Eye in the centre of Lower Slaughter, one of the most beautiful and unspoiled villages in the Cotswolds.
