The history of Broughty Ferry has always been linked closely with that of Dundee as a place and resort, later as a haven for the wealthy and later still as a residence for commuters. The annexation of Broughty Ferry by its near neighbour, Dundee, on 5 November 1913, has renewed interest in the history of the former burgh.Jolly’s Hotel is in the centre of the suburb known locally as ‘the ferry’. The hotel has 25 bedrooms, including a family room and two rooms with full access and facilities for those with disabilities. The rooms all feature an en suite bathroom, tea- and coffee-making facilities, flat-screen TV, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. There’s free Wi-Fi in all bedrooms and the bar area.
