Welcome to the Three Tuns Inn

We invite you to experience the fine food, wines and local ales at this enchanting Inn. Here you can enjoy a drink in the bar, have a meal, or relax in the lounge in comfortable sofas and before open log fires. The Three Tuns is an 18th century coaching inn set in the midst of rural Suffolk, close to the east coast and surrounding areas of interest such as the beautiful market town of Woodbridge and bustling Ipswich.

Within the village of Pettistree a short walk into the countryside and open farmland this is the perfect place for quiet getaways or adventure further afield. Wickham Market is only a short walk away and activities such as water sports, horse riding, photography and bird watching can be enjoyed.

The Three Tuns dates back to a Victorian era however history states that there has been a hostelry of some kind since the mid 17th Century. There was also a garage which sold petrol to the coaches in the early 1900`s.

Visitors of note include Jean Batten the aviator who made her record flight from Australia to England in 5 days, 18 hours and fifteen minutes, and also the American boys from WW11 and the neighbouring airfield adopted the inn as a favourite meeeting place.

We also welcome well behaved pets and consider ourselves a dog friendly hotel
