Maesmawr Hall, Caersws is situated in the beautiful valley of the Severn, five miles from the market town of Newtown and one mile from the village of Caersws. This beautiful period house is privately owned and personally supervised by the resident proprietors, Tim and Matthew Lewis.
The hotel is one of the most complete and picturesque of the old half-timbered houses of Montgomeryshire and a fine example of the central chimney timber-framed houses, which are characteristic of the county. The general appearance of the house suggests a mid 17th Century dwelling, but it has been established that the house was in existence before 1600. The hall is surrounded by the stunning countryside of mid Wales and is the perfect base from which to explore the region. The area boasts many attractions and amenities. The Welsh coastline is only a short drive away, whilst the larger towns of Shrewsbury, Chester and the West Midlands are within easy reach.
