Vickers has been in the same family for over 35 years. Recently purchased by Keith and Kaye Vickers, the Hotel offers comfortable accommodation and freshly made food in truly historic surroundings.
Vickers Hotel is situated in the centre of Woodstock and overlooks the Ancient Market Place, where the Farmers Market is still held on the first Saturday each month.
Only a few minutes walk from Vickers is the entrance to Blenheim Palace, home of the Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Designed by Vanburgh with parklands landscaped by Capability Brown, you could not pick a better place to walk or picnic.
Vickers Hotel is an ideal base for touring the Cotswolds with Burford and Charlbury nearby. Stratford-Upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s Birthplace - is only twenty-nine miles away. While the ‘dreaming spires’ of Oxford University are only seven miles to the South.
In the Grade II listed hotel we have six individual bedrooms ranging from a small three-quarter room to a Family Suite. All the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with today’s modern comforts. Coffee, Tea Making facilities, TV’s etc.
The Fully Licensed Bar, overlooks the historic Market Place and is the perfect spot to relax. The extensive wine list and variety of spirits and soft drinks ensures the perfect accompaniment to your meal. Restaurant - For those who prefer a quieter setting the 35-seater dining rooms, with open fireplace, is perfect for a romantic meal or family gathering. Choose from our Lunch or Dinner Menu and Daily Specials. Vickers Traditional Sunday Roasts served 12-6pm on Sunday.
All food is prepared on the premises from Fresh Local Produce. We cater for Lunch, Dinner and Private Functions and can prepare food to suite most dietary requirements (with prior notice).
Children can select smaller portions from a number of dishes on our menu. Also open for Breakfast between 8 am and 11:30
