Smithy Garth is a family-run bed and breakfast in the Yorkshire Dales village of Askrigg. Its bright and fresh rooms have views of the garden and surrounding countryside and feature luxurious en suite bathrooms and large brass beds. Each room at Smithy Garth has a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee facilities and free Wi-Fi. The king room has a modern en suite shower, while the double enjoys the use of a decadent free-standing bath tub and large shower. Breakfast includes cereals, porridge, fruit and yoghurt, with coffee and Yorkshire Tea. Most popular of all is the cooked Yorkshire Breakfast with locally produced bacon, sausages, black pudding and lots more. Vegetarian and other dietary requirements can be catered for if advised in advance. Askrigg is a picturesque village, and featured as a location in the British TV series ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. The busy market town of Hawes is just 5 miles away, with visitor attractions including the Wensleydale Creamery and Dales Countryside Museum alongside its traditional shops, cafés and inns.
