The King’s Head is a fine Georgian building dating back to the 18th Century. It is situated in the centre of the Market Square, in the picturesque town of Masham. From the outset, the King’s Head was always more than an inn. In its time it has been combined with a Posting House and surprisingly, an Excise Office. Masham itself, established in Saxon times, lies peacefully on the River Ure.
The hotel has 27 en-suite bedrooms, some of which still have original character features of their time. All rooms are fully equipped to cater for both business and leisure guests, with unlimited free Wi-Fi, flat-screen digital TVs, iron & ironing boards, hairdryers and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel has a variety of room types, which include standard doubles, twins, family rooms and executive rooms, which also have jacuzzi baths.
The hotel also has a fully licensed restaurant and bar offering a warm welcome with an excellent menu range. They serve traditional Theakstons and Black Sheep cask ales as well as offering an extensive wine list making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors who visit the town.
There is also a function room to cater for meetings, events, special occasions, and private dining.
