Formerly known as the Pantrhiwgoch, dates back to the 16th Century and is located midway between the market towns of Abergavenny and Crickhowell, being half an hour's drive from either the M4 or M5 motorways.

The Hotel is situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, one of the most beautiful locations in the country. Perched high on the east bank of the River Usk, renowned for its trout and salmon fishing, the Llanwenarth commands unrivalled views across the river towards the Blorenge mountain, taking in the whole of the spectacular Usk Valley.

There are 17 individually decorated en-suite bedrooms offering all modern amenities. The majority of the bedrooms overlooking the River Usk have their own balconies with tables and chairs where you can relax with a drink and take in the breathtaking scenery. Following our extensive refurbishment during 2004 we now have available a specially designed bedroom suitable for guests with walking disabilities and wheelchair users. This spacious room boasts wider entrances, a wet room consisting of walk in shower with seating. Additional features include handrails, walk in storage/wardrobe and low-level furnishings.

The Riverside Restaurant, overseen by Chef / Patron Jon West, who was a reputation of the highest standing in South Wales, is one of the most popular venues in the area, making table reservations essential. Floor to ceiling windows offering panoramic views which add to the total dining experience in the relaxed yet convivial atmosphere of our stylish restaurant. In the summer months enjoy al fresco meals on our terrace. A large Mediterranean style dining area overlooking the river Usk and surrounding valleys serving a la carte and lunch/early evening menus.
