Set in the malaria-free UNESCO World Heritage-listed Waterberg Biosphere, Ama Amanzi is a typical African game lodge. It offers games viewing, an outdoor pool and natural ponds in the grounds. Spread across the bush, the accommodation is in apartments or thatched bungalows, each with a terrace overlooking the grounds or pool. Featuring 2 bathrooms, one outside, the apartments have a living room with sofa bed. The bungalows include 100% cotton linen and a modern bathroom. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in the main lodge and room service can be arranged. Most of the organic vegetables, herbs and fruit are from the lodge’s garden. There is a braai barbecue area, and dinners in the bush are also on offer. The Waterberg Biosphere bush provides opportunities for hiking, cycling and birdwatching. Big Five safaris, trips to a lion breeding centre and photography classes are other possibilities. Ama Amanzi Game Lodge is around 45 minutes’ drive from Vaalwater.
