Built in 1941, Xoron Floatel was formerly a gun boat which served for the Royal Navy’s coastal defence forces. Now transformed into a home on the water, it features free Wi-Fi, an upper viewing lounge with sea views and a breakfast area overlooking Bembridge Harbour. The Xoron offers full central heating and hot and cold running water in all cabins, which are also en suite. Many mementos of WW2 can be found in a nautical display room on the lower deck, such as models and uniforms. Guests can also relax in the lounge which includes a TV. A full English breakfast is served, as well as vegetarian options, and many restaurants and pubs are situated in the nearby villages of Bembridge and St Helens. Award-winning beaches can be reached within a 5-minute drive as well as a selection of scenic walks, pubs and shops. Windsurfing, hiking and horse riding can be enjoyed in the local area and fishing is also possible from the comfort of the boat.
