Pronounced by the celebrated 17th century diarist John Evelyn that it "had one of the goodliest vistas in England", the panoramic view far over Worcestershire and Herefordshire from the 1,114 foot summit of this major landmark and tourist attraction, remains as spectacular today as it was some four centuries ago.

Forming part of the hilltop border between Herefordshire and Worcestershire, the hotel provides an ideal base for walking or a centre for touring. Constructed in the early 19th century, it follows a five hundred year old tradition of a hostelry located on this picturesque site.
