Ty Croeso is set high on the hillside above the Monmouth and Brecon Canal just half-a-mile from the charming town of Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Ty Croeso (pronounced Tee Croy-so) means `House of Welcome` in Welsh and we look forward to welcoming you to our home and hope you enjoy your stay in this beautiful part of Wales.

Our beautiful stone-built, Victorian home started life as the infirmary to the nearby workhouse, and since then its seen many changes. We have recently given its interior a major revamp to create a relaxed, modern, country vibe & have tried to ensure that the interior is in keeping with the building`s age and history; in the cosy lounge area the exposed stonework is set off by the largely neutral colour schemes with flashes of colour within the soft furnishings, this in an attempt to make this your home from home.

All our bedrooms have breath-taking views across the Usk Valley toward the Black Mountains, and have recently been refurbished to a high standard too. We have four guest bedrooms - a single, two spacious doubles and a junior suite with its own lounge area. They all have modern en suite bathrooms, quality Egyptian cotton sheets, flat-screen televisions with DVD players, and Roberts DAB radios. Additionally, we offer free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

No matter how energetic a day you have planned, a Ty Croeso breakfast will set you up nicely.

Locally-sourced, organic ingredients feature throughout the menu, look out for the organic, local apple juice and kippers and smoked salmon from the Black Mountain Smokery, along with Bacon, sausages, eggs from Cashell`s of Crickhowell.

We are a full licensed B & B so we have a full selection of wines, spirits & beers for you to enjoy either as pre dinner drinks or as a nightcap.
