Gliffaes is the only 4 star Hotel in the Brecon Beacons National Park and has a fantastic position above the River Usk in 30 acres of gardens and woodland, all this means that you will be most comfortable and well looked after and will find the hotel very quiet as we are a good mile and half from the main road. You are more likely to hear the owls rather than a police car while at Gliffaes.
A fantastic base to take advantage of what the National Park hasto offer in terms of walking, riding, cycling and fishing to name but a few of the activities in the area. In fact the hotel has 2.5 miles of fly fishing on the river Usk for guests. We also have a tennis court and a croquet lawn along with a tandem you might wish to borrow to explore the country side.
We make sure that we source most of our food locally and the daily changing dinner menu reflects what is best in the area and in season. We serve bar lunches every day along with our well known afternoon teas, either on the sunny terrace or next to the fires in winter.
Basically, we have all the ingredients for a comfortable and relaxing weekend in the hills.
