Overall a pleasant stay although spoiled by a freezing cold room, caused by the wind rattling through ill-fitting metal window frames. Bathroom was clean but again icy cold as there was no heating in there. We were staying there with other family members and it was a bit of a lottery as to what your room was like. Relatives at the front of the hotel complained of their rooms being too hot and very noisy from the road. Relatives on the top floor rear had a room with upvc double-glazing and their room was fine. Wooden floors ensured that you were awake if the room above yours were up. All in all I suppose you get what you pay for and if you're after a budget hotel that's clean and homely then this is the place for you. Can't fault the staff who are really friendly, food is ok if you like frozen food. I would stay again but ask for a room on the top floor rear.

Traffic noise at the front right throughout the night, even on a supposedly quieter weekend, gave some concern. A better quality double-glazing might have helped but there again we prefer to have a window open. Is air-conditioning the answer here? Generally for what we paid it was an excellent location with parking also helping as part of the deal. I didn't particularly like the awkward steep step exit from the accommodation wing to the outside before having to double back into the reception and dining area. I would imagine this could cause a fall or injury. Is it too difficult to reinstate what was obviously at one time an internal connecting door or does this lend itself to too many security issues?

The hotel has transformed over the last year or so with a keen team in management. The whole building has been refurbished externally and the rooms upgraded. However the single rooms require attention, poor quality duvet cover, shower door stuck and dangerous, electric wall radiator undersized thus cold room as building not secondary glazed. Overall good value for money.

We met with real warmth and care and were made to feel very welcome. Clearly the managers are putting a great deal of effort into the hotel both in its physical state and in the hospitality they offer. We only ate breakfast in the dining room but the food we saw served looked very good. The location is on a busy road but noise levels were not a problem. Private, of-road parking was a great boon. We would happily return.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights during the Olympics as it was close to our venue - it proved to be an excellent choice as it proved to be an excellent place to return to after the hustle and bustle of London - there was an initial problem with booking but this was sorted out speedily and efficiently by camilla from infotel. In fact if it had not been for her intervention we might not have had the pleasure of stopping at this hotel so thanks to camilla. Food was excellent - portions were massive - our room was lovely including the en-suite down 4 steps in our room - all in all great

TVs in the room was worst TV set ever I have seen. The remaining hotel was generally OK. The personnel was good. The value for money was not the best but looks like the only reasonable hotel in neighborhood.

A very pleasant environment for our stay in the Walthamstow area. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay great. The breakfast was hearty and staff was willing to modify it to our specific needs. We`ll certainly be back to this hotel again.
