Fantastic
  We had a LOVELY time. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately Infotel mixed up our name with our address when making the booking but the outcome was that the hotel upgraded us into a suite because it took longer than normal to check us in. Set in picturesque countryside, a short drive from Stansted Airport and the coast, this hotel is ideal for golfing holidays and relaxing breaks.

Guests receive reduced rates for rounds of golf and games of tennis. There are 18 and 9 hole courses to choose from, as well as a 20 bay flood lit driving range to practise your swing.

The Essex also offers a range of complimentary facilities. You can work out in the air-conditioned gymnasium, enjoy a swim in the indoor pool or simply unwind in the sauna, steam room and spa bath. There are also beauty and hairdressing salons.

And after a day's golfing or being pampered, unwind with a drink in the sports bar and enjoy a meal from the brassiere, which offers daily and 3 course evening menus. PLEASE NOTE -: THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED 31STDECEMBER 2008 AND 1ST JANUARY 2009.
