Outstanding
  An old fashioned privately owned hotel now no longer on the main road. But very clean and with a comfy bed for a good nights sleep. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only had breakfasts but they were excellent variations on the full Scottish menu. Reviewed by Anonymous on 6 Aug 2012

Welcome to the Ecclefechan Hotel in Dumfries and Galloway. The hotel is a listed building which began life in the 1730’S. We are located nearby junction 19 on the M74 . We are undergoing a refurbishment programme. We are a family run business that prides itself on giving a warm welcome and making your stay a memorable one. We are located close to Gretna Green and ideally situated for golfing, shooting, fishing and cycling activities

Yes!I would stay here again.
