Located at the feet of 3 volcanoes in the historical district of Antiquilla, the 1810 Posada Nueva España combines refurbished accommodation with competitive prices. It offers free Wi-Fi in public areas. The Main Square is 500 metres away. The brightly decorated rooms of the hotel feature private bathrooms with hot water provided by solar energy, a balcony and a seating area with cable TV reception. Family rooms and free-mobility rooms are also available. Guests are welcomed in one of the two inner patios of the Posada Nueva España with a typical Andean drink, which helps against altitude sickness. There is an outdoor bar-restaurant which serves traditional and international food. Excursion within Arequipa and to Colca and Cotahuasi canyons can be booked at the tour desk. Trekking, climbing, biking and rafting activities are also organized. The lodge is 10 minutes on foot from Plaza de Armas and the Bolognesi bridge, a lookout point for the El Misti, El Chachani and Pichu-Pichu volcanoes.
