This guest house was built in the 19th-century using Lakeland stone. The Willowsmere is a grand Victorian residence offerings rooms with views and free use of nearby leisure facilities. All rooms are double-glazed and have fluffy towels and superior toiletries. They have views either to the front towards Orrest Head viewpoint or to the rear overlooking the award-winning landscaped gardens. The Willowsmere has 2 guest lounges and a hidden garden, where guests can enjoy a drink from the well-stocked cellar. Regular buses pass the guest house and Windermere Station is only a 10-minute walk away. Lake Windermere can be reached in 10 minutes too. All guests get free use of the Windermere Manor Leisure Facilities, which are a 5-minute walk away and include an indoor swimming pool, a sauna and a solarium.
