This family-run guest house looks out over Lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes. It is a mile (1.6 km) from the Windermere Ferry and has free Wi-Fi, free parking and charming rooms. Hawkrigg Guest House is across the water from Bowness-on-Windermere. Car ferries run regularly. The village of Hawkshead is 3 miles (5 km) away. The rooms have TVs, tea/coffee and hairdryers. Several have en suite bathrooms and one has a separate private bathroom outside the room. All rooms have views of either Lake Windermere or Langdale Pike. A full English breakfast is available each morning. Hawkrigg has a quiet garden and a garage for storing bikes and equipment.
