This 16th-century guest house serves wholesome, locally sourced organic food in a beautiful rural setting. Located in the scenic Lake District National Park, there are spacious rooms, and free Wi-Fi. All food is Fair Trade, organic and seasonal also offering vegetarian and vegan options. The Cote How’s pork, dairy products and fruit and vegetables all come from suppliers in Cumbria and North Lancashire. Each individually furnished room is traditionally decorated, with some rooms featuring open fireplaces. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and a private bathroom. Guests at the Cote How can enjoy 4 acres of natural gardens with a further 7 acres of meadow down to Rydal water's edge. The guest lounge has an open log fire, with a homely bar serving local ales. There are a range of walks and bridle ways directly accessible from the house. The restaurants and pubs of nearby Ambleside and Grasmere can be reached in just 5 minutes by car.
