The George Hotel is believed to be the oldest existing building in Reading and still retains many of its wonderful original Coaching Inn features, including Tudor archways and a very attractive central cobbled stone courtyard. Standing in front of the Dickensian lamp lit entrance, you can easily imagine horse drawn carriages arriving outside with passengers alighting to a warm welcome.
