Important Information:
1)From Monday 3 March 2008, the access road to Washington A1M Northbound will be closed for 5 nights between 10pm and 6am. The highways agency will be diverting all traffic to a parking area on the A195 Eastbound from where they will be escorted to the Travelodge. This will also be the case for any traffic wishing to exit the services between these times. The parking area and the exit road will be manned at all times.

Situated on northbound carriageway of A1(M) just after junction 64.
From the southbound carriageway of A1(M), exit junction 64 and stay on slip road of the A195. At the roundabout, take the last exit and follow the road onto the A1 (M) Northbound carriageway. The Travelodge is at the services on the left.
To get to the Travelodge on the Southbound carriageway, go back onto the A1 (M) North and stay in the right hand lane signposed towards A194 Tyne Tunnel. Leave the A194 at the next exit, signposted Washington, and at the roundabout take the fourth exit, signposted A194 (M).
