Originally built in the 17th century as a coaching inn, the Barbon Inn offers a lively, but relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy Lunch served between 12.00 noon to 2pm, dinner and bar meals served between 6pm to 9pm or overnight stays. Enjoy the atmosphere created by over 300 years of history in the Barbon Inn. See the pockmarks in the settle from a 19th.century shooting and find out about the hanged highwayman. An ideal place for golfing breaks and fishing in Cumbria. Whether you want a gentle or energetic holiday enjoying the magnificence of both the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District, we know you'll find the Barbon Inn to be the ideal choice for comfort, hospitality, good food and the warmest welcome. Our fresh, seasonal food is from high quality local sources. Vegan, celiac and allergy diets can be catered for if prior notice is given. Wheelchairs can easily get into our dining room but all our bedrooms are up one flight of stairs. Wheelchair friendly and historic building does not go together easily but our ground floor Gents bathroom does have wheelchair access. The Ladies is up one flight of stairs unfortunately

The Barbon Inn is the ideal base for touring and sightseeing the breathtaking landscape which lies on our doorstep. We are situated mid way between the LAKE DISTRICT & the YORKSHIRE DALES .

DOG FRIENDLY. We allow dogs into our bedrooms with responsible owners, dog beds can be provided, we make a charge of £10 per dog as a one off payment.
