Description
The Longlands is traditionally an Olde Worlde coaching house, with modern tones, next to Tewitfield Locks on the Lancaster Canal. We are located less than 1 mile from junction 35 of the M6 Motorway. We are less than 5 miles from the Crooklands roundabout on the A6 (en-route to the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales). The Longlands is also within easy reach of the seaside resort of Morecambe and the historic city of Lancaster.
Golf and fishing are in abundance, with Tewitfield Fisheries being just one of many.
Mondays is Band Night and other entertainment is available throughout the year. Quieter rooms available on request.
We have eleven en-suite bedrooms at the Longlands. Our rooms are an electic mix of old and new. Some with contemporary beds, others have old fashioned brass bedsteads, Vi - Sping mattressess, bright new bathrooms, piled with fluffy white towels, televisions, tea and fresh coffee. Ou lapwing rooms at the newer side of the Inn have views towards the new Marina. They are larger, with bright airey windows and huge comfortable beds to spread our in. Our Coach house rooms are in the old part of the Inn, and although they are smaller they are full of charm with views towards the fields.

You Could stay in one of our new cottages. We have six cottages to are one bedroom which sleep upto 4 people, and 4 which are two bedroom which sleep upto 6 people. They sit right on the new Tewitfield Marina. Prices start from £150 upto £550
Traveling
We are Just a mile away from junction 35 of the M6 motorway, if you pollow directions to Burton in Kendal you will find us just before then on the A6070.
Entertainment
On a monday night the place really comes to life for our band night, with a different local band playing every week. On other nights it's more of a relaxed tempo with people enjoying a drink and a chat.
Sports and leisure
If you are coming to relax, we are surrounded by lovely countryside for cycling and walking, Ronnie, our resident black lab, will show you the way if you like. Close to the Longlands we have fishries for fishing, appoximately 10 golf courses within a 30 mile radius and we can arrainge for you to go clay pigeon shooting nearby.
Love and marriage
If your planning a wedding we know its going to be the most magical day of your life, you need a lovely venue, with excellent food, discreet and caring service & a setting for beautiful photographs. Perhaps you need bedrooms for your guests to stay in, for your wedding night or honeymoon. At the Longlands we will help you create the wedding reception you want, it may be traditional or something different. We only hold one wedding at a time so there is no chance of bumping into another bride in the loo!
