"Lovely hotel, facing a pretty pond. The room we had was huge. Just like having your own bed sit. It was over the pub but there was no noise coming upstairs at all. There are also 19 bedrooms on a new complex that is seven years old and that is a separate building. The manager showed me round and the rooms there are lovely and clean. They are having a refurbishment in June, ready for the Non-Smoking in July. They might knock two of the large bedrooms together and make a conference room upstairs. There is ample parking. The food is lovely. The staff very helpful. We had a huge English breakfast which was at our table within minutes of ordering. The train station is a five minute walk and trains go to London every 20 mins. We would not hesitate to stay here again."

This magnificent 18th century coaching inn has been extensively refurbished. Directly opposite the Ponds at Carshalton on the A232, it has 21 air-conditioned bedrooms, a non smoking dining area and a modern, yet traditional bar offering the best of Young's real beers and wine. Within a short distance from the M23, the Greyhound Hotel is ideally located for major routes into central London and access to Gatwick Airport. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from Carshalton station with trains to London Victoria and Thames link services running regularly. Enjoy traditional pub food in the bar or choose from the contemporary menu in the informal dining area.

A warm welcome awaits you at the Greyhound. We have a traditional pub with two bars, delicious food made and cooked here - We serve bar snacks (Noon - 22.00) Lunch (noon - 14.30) and you can reserve a table for dinner in our oak panelled no smoking dining area (18.30 - 22.00 Monday - Saturday) and Sunday Roasts (Noon - 9 pm)

The Swan Bar at the front of the hotel is haunted by the ghost of a traveller who was refused entry in the 1700's and duly froze to death on the doorstep. There have been many sightings of this ghost, by both staff and customers and also falling glasses and bottles, swinging tankards and a general feeling of unease and coldness whenever a sighting occurs. We are also having a Hallowe'en Extravaganza, with bands, tarot readings, trick or treating, apple bobbing, devil's punchbowl and free spells - all souls welcome...
