Empingham village is set in the heart of the ancient county of Rutland, which is rich in unspoilt natural beauty. The White Horse is a stone built inn, originally an old 17th court house, the inn has been developed by careful planning into a place of character with a welcoming atmosphere offering a high level of individuality, quality and service for both business and leisure traveller alike.
The Inn has thirteen individually styled bedrooms, all ensuite, including doubles, twin rooms, family rooms and a Four Poster. There are hospitality trays in all rooms, including television, tea/coffee, direct dial telephone, hair dryer and fresh flowers.
Under the personal supervision of the Proprietors Sarah & Ian Sharp and head chef Douglas Gordon, you can be sure of tasty food, comfortable accommodation and friendly service.
Our extensive menu is available seven days a week and offers a good selection of traditional and modern cuisine. Dishes are all freshly prepared and cooked to order with the `daily specials board` widening our menu further. Our chefs are more than willing to cater for any dietary needs, should this be required, please let us know. Our selection of desserts are just too tempting for those with a sweet tooth to resist.With a warm and friendly atmosphere, the White Horse Inn is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink. Our extensively stocked bar provides something for everyone. We have a good selection of well kept real ales – Greene King Abbot Ale, Adnams Best Bitter, Ruddles Best Bitter, ten different wines available by the glass and for the connoisseur, there`s a large choice of fine malt whiskies. We also offer a ‘Wine of the Moment’ which is often a favourite we have discovered during our travels and want to share with everyone and a comprehensive wine list offering a good choice of red and white wines from around the world.
