Part of the Cygnet Inns Group, The Abbey Hotel is situated in the historic monastery town of Crowland, just 15 minutes drive from the centre of Peterborough. With this central location situated between Peterborough, Spalding and Wisbech, it is an ideal base for travelling businessmen and stay over workers, or as a central base for those wanting to explore the Fens with all the natural beauty of Lincolnshire or Cambridgeshire. The hotel has a history of the paranormal in the form of sightings of ghost like appearances, and has recently been the subject of a report by the spiritualist medium Bill Parkins of the Cambridge Paranormal Society. For those wishing to experience the maximum chance of seeing a ghost please request to stay in room No.5 as this in the oldest part of the hotel and has had the most sightings recently. With a selection of rooms to suit the single traveller, couple or family, all with private en-suite facilities together with ample car parking, and a pleasant garden seating area.
