Hotel Description
  Description

The Beech Hill is located in the heart of England's beautiful Lake District National Park. Set into the hillside on the eastern bank of Lake Windermere, Britain's largest lake, you will find unrivalled panoramic views across the Lake to the Cumbrian Fells beyond. Whatever the season, the vista surrounding the hotel is always beautiful to look at and the glorious countryside a joy to roam in. This beautiful hotel with its cosy lounge and log fire, fine restaurant, leisure facilities, landscaped gardens and Lake view rooms is the perfect place to relax, unwind and be spoiled. The Hotel has 3 Stars which assures you that each of the 57 rooms are perfectly appointed and comfortable. Burlington's Restaurant has been awarded with the coveted 2 AA Rosettes for mouth-watering local food and friendly efficient service. Pleasure and relaxation are just two great reasons to take a short break and experience a warm Cumbrian welcome extended by the friendly team of staff here at The Beech Hill.

The Beech Hill hotel has 58 bedrooms, each individually decorated with all of the facilities expected in a 3 Star hotel tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers, direct dial phones and colour TV`s as well as other thoughtful extras.

There are 4 types of room available: Premier, Select & Select Plus (all with Lake views) and Standard (most with Lake views). The hotel has plenty of car parking and for the more active, there is an indoor swimming pool with sauna and solarium as well as a private beach and jetty for guest use.

The Wordsworth suite is our newest addition to the hotel. This room boasts a super king-size antique double bed and antique walnut furnishings, plasma screen television and DVD player, private access to the swimming pool, large luxury bathroom with double walk-in shower, patio doors stretching the length of the room with stunning Lake views, garden terrace and out-door hot tub. This suite also has many added extras including bathrobes, mineral water and fresh flowers and is non-smoking.

The majority of the hotel`s bedrooms have lake views, and some rooms have garden terraces, 4 poster beds and spa baths. Generous family rooms, some with VCR`s are also available. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, sauna, and is a very sought after wedding venue. The view from its restaurant and terrace is the best for miles around!

From the expansive terrace and huge windows of the Bar, Restaurant and Lounge, you never lose sight of the majesty of the area`s most prominent peak, Coniston Old Man, which forms the centrepiece of a post card perfect view of Lake and Mountains. The setting becomes ever more evocative by evening as the sun goes down. With a terrace bathed in sunshine during the Summer and a roaring log fire and comfortable seating inside for Winter snuggling, the charm and character of the Beech Hill blends harmoniously with its natural surroundings.

There are great walks around the hotel and the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere is just a short drive away as are many of the attractions that Cumbria has to offer.
