The Peacock is a friendly Country Inn set at the foot of the beautiful Chilterns in the picturesque Hamlet of Henton, near Thame. It’s the ideal location for Business and Leisure with easy access to Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
The Peacock is comprised of twenty five en-suite bedrooms which have recently been refurbished to provide comfortable modern facilities for our guests, all with en-suite bathrooms, flat screen televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. Our rooms are available as double or single.

The restaurant has a friendly and relaxed ambience providing a great setting for a romantic meal or a get together with friends. We offer a wide selection of delicious fresh food including contemporary modern European dishes and all the British pub classics, all made on the premises using fresh local produce. The superb lunchtime and evening menus are changed seasonally and feature daily specials from our talented chef .
We have a good selection of bottled international wines to compliment our meals or to sip by the glass while relaxing in the lounge. Our bar also stocks a range of draught beers and local ales, with plenty of spirits and liquors to choose from.

Traveling
BY TRAIN
Trains leave from London Marylebone station to Princes Risborough regularly though out the day. We are a short Taxi journey away.
BY CAR
From the M40:
- Take Junction 6, towards Princes Risborough going through Kingston Blount and Chinnor staying on the B4009.
- Just past chinnor, turn left at the Peacock sign and we are approximately 1 mile down the road.
From Thame:
- Follow the signs to Chinnor travelling on the Thame Chinnor road; you will go through a large roundabout where DAF & BOC are located.
- Once in Chinnor you will need to turn left onto the B4009, towards Henton.
- Turn left at the Peacock sign and we are approximately 1 mile down the road.
From Aylesbury:
- Follow signs to Princes Risborough and to Chinnor on the B4009.
- Just before Chinnor, turn right at the Peacock sign and we are approximately 1 mile down the road.
