On the seafront in Deal and close to Sandwich, with Canterbury and the coast a short drive away, the Royals warm hospitality and comfortable surroundings have been enjoyed by such famous people as Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton. The Royal has 22 en suite bedrooms some of which have sea views. With a restaurant and bar with outside decking overlooking the sea, the Royal has a full wedding licence and reception facilities, as well as conference and meeting rooms.

The Royal Hotel is on the seafront in Deal, close to Sandwich and a short journey from Canterbury, Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate, the hotel is well worth a visit. Shopping is on hand in many places. In Deal the shops are an attractive a mixture of old & new. If you are a keen golfer then the Royal is the place to be. There are 4 very well known golf courses close by - The Royal Cinque Ports in Deal. Princes in Sandwich, Walmer & Kingsdown in Deal and, of course Royal St. George’s in Sandwich.

The Royal has 18 individually decorated bedrooms. All are en-suite and have televisions as well as direct dial telephones. Three of the rooms have balconies with fantastic sea views. The menu includes an excellent range of fresh seafood and freshly cooked dishes served with fine wines and a selection of Shepherd Neame's fine ales and lagers. The Bar has the bonus of being on the sea side of the hotel. The menu offers seasonal choices, with light bites available as well as full bar meals.
